Indian Summer

We had those couple of days of rain last week and I thought that the Spanish winter had started to close in on us - how wrong can you be? Since then we have had the most glorious sunshine and high temperatures - today it is already up to 30 degrees and it's just 12 o'clock. It was rather handy having those couple of days in-doors though because it got me started on this 'ere blog thingy.

Must, must, must start my Spanish course though. I pick up bits and pieces here and there but I must stop procrastinating and make a concerted effort.

We have continued to paint the whole of the outside of the house - the better half is such a grafter, what would I do wiv art 'er eh? - we are almost finished, apart from one gable-end which we are hoping to get done before the winter really does set in.

Were are going to take a few hours out now, go to a little place we know of in the mountains - Ermita near Atarfe on the way to Granada - which is really picturesque, and have lunch in the picnic area of the restaurant and church you can see it the above photograph - spectacular views of the city and surrounding countryside from up there - so nice in amongst the trees
