Don't forget in the bright green area of this blog, right of the 'page', there are some links there to a few homes in this area of Spain which are for sale. The one on Montesol (left) belongs to friends of ours, who, after 5 years or so here have decided they miss their families too much and they have made the heart wrenching decision to return to England to live, having spent almost 6 wonderful years here.

This part of Spain (inland - mid-northern Andalucia) is so tranquil with some awesome countryside and scenery - a real Spanish holiday away from the coast in amongst the vast olive groves and yet it is only an hours' drive to the coast resort of Motril. See the info links below.

Also the skiing season's coming up soon, too warm yet for any snow but you can almost feel the local anticipation.The ski resort of The Sierra Nevada is the southern most in Europe (has a real Alpine feel to it) it is only an hour or so's drive from Montesol, so fairly accessible. It's open from the end of November through to the end of March, including Christmas - there are days when you can ski in the morning, sunbath in the afternoon round the pool

Our friends are getting ready to start renting the villa out both winter & summer (pending the sale) as a holiday home - maybe even long-term -  so watch this space for more details.
